Moon Walk - Live on TV

I was into my 11th year. I was staying with a family and studying in Methodist Boy's School in Malaysia. Achen was working in Indonesia. Mummy and chaechy were in India.

Mr. Arthur Fernandez was into one of his first jobs and was staying with one of achen's friends, an uncle name Decosta. I had to take some books every evening to his room and sit and study for a few hours. All that I enjoyed during those visits were some biscuits and tea (or was it Milo) given to me by Decosta Uncle.

On that particular day I was playing in the evening near my "Hostel"; it being a Sunday and I found that many people were glued to the TV in the next house, which was the only one available in that locality. Seeing none of my playmates around, I too went into that house to take a peep at the TV.


It was much later that I understood the importance of what I saw.

I had watched the "One Giant leap for Mankind" live on TV.

It is 40 years today and am thankful to God for all the blessings showered on us.
